There is no excuse for making a strong female character poorly written just because you want to pander to SJWs. The aforementioned characters are for female audiences, yet they have enough substance and real effort put in to be relatable and entertaining for the male audience and don't pander towards feminists. There are many examples of this, but the most well known ones are Ochaco Uraraka, Amethyst, Lyn, Raven, Hinata Hyuga and Spinel, just to name few. In fact, critically acclaimed trilogies like Star Wars and Terminator have had worse off sequels because they try hard to be "politically correct".Įven if a strong female character is mostly aimed at female audiences, male audiences may also be interested in this character as well. This excuse also treats females like they are unintelligent beings or idiots with no real taste, which isn't true. Saying that statement shouldn't be a good enough excuse for making low-quality and effortless strong female characters in general. Often when a strong female character ends up being criticized for either poor writing, being sexist to the male audience, being a Mary Sue, being there to promote an ideology and nothing else, or just being a mean, selfish and unlikable bitch that comes off as more villainous than heroic as intended, some people might use the "We had a strong independent female" as an excuse for doing so. Just because you made a strong and powerful female character does not mean you had to make them bland, overpowered, and a tool. However as SJWs came into the picture starting from the mid-2010s, and have been oversaturating the media since the late-2010s, they started to make a female character that is a Mary Sue or a propaganda-type character. It was not until the late-20th century that this problem is now fixed. You'll get plenty of great items with the Epic and Normal orbs too that will last your character well into the high levels. It is well known that most female characters are shown as weak back in the 1960s and earlier before the gender equality movement became more common, even though strong female characters rarely ever showed up during those times here and there, mainly during the pre-Code era (and to a lesser extent, during World War II). Keep in mind too it's not like you can only purchase the best orb to get good loot. Use a character that doesn't have to chug Potions non-stop to make the most money or pick an easier location for whatever character it is you are using. My advice to you would be to choose a farming location from my Titan Quest Farming Guides and grind for gold. I know this because I use TQVault and kept a single copy of every Blue/Purple item that I got as well as every Artifact Recipe. There may be a few very high end items that the orb's loot table does not have access to (like the Freyja's Set) but I personally farmed thousands of these orbs and got almost every single item in the game. Essentially the only items that the Legendary Orb can not drop are Monster Infrequents. Normal the Orb is 1,000,000 and it will still give you worthwhile loot if you're on Epic or Legendary difficulty. Typically in games this sort of thing sucks and never gives you anything good but in Titan Quest the loot it gives you is amazing.Įach difficulty unlocks new type of Orb that you can buy at Legendary the cost of the Orb is only 5,000,000 Gold. Pantheras is an NPC that was added into the game during the Atlantis Expansion Pack who will take your hard earned Gold and transmute it into orbs of good loot for you. In my opinion the best way for you to get gear in Titan Quest is by using Pantheras in Gadir.
